Primary General with Mathematic

committed to training and developing the very best primary teachers who seek to become maths specialist teachers in their early careers.

We are looking for talented primary applicants with a clear aptitude and enthusiasm for maths. Our course will provide you with all the elements covered by our Primary General route so that you will be conffident teaching across the primary curriculum. But you will also take part in additional, specialist maths training.

We are proud and excited to be working with the North West One Maths Hub who will ensure our trainees gain access to the most up to date research and strategies to ensure all pupils can achieve and succeed.

Entry requirements

Maths Proficiency
A minimum Grade B / Grade 6 at GCSE in mathematics. Evidence of further study of mathematics, this could include an A Level or some mathematics at degree level.

Bursaries
If you have a first, 2:1, 2:2, Master’s or PhD a £6,000 bursary is available for trainees. To receive the bursary, you’ll need an A level in maths at grade B or above (or equivalent).

Degree
Successful applicants must have a degree, in any subject, to gain entry onto this Postgraduate course. We usually expect a minimum of a 2.2 classification. Applicants who have not yet graduated will be expected to provide evidence of their expected degree classification.

Equivalencies
We accept equivalency tests and NARIC certificates of equivalency where appropriate.

GCSE
GCSE at Grade C / Grade 4 or higher in English and science.
